Professor Guo Xiaoguang, Vice President of the School of Art of NENU, was invited by Paris Chinese Culture Center to hold a solo painting exhibition "Joyful Paris" lasting for more than a week long from August 30th to September 7th. A great many media such as People's Daily, European Times, Phoenix Satellite TV and China International Radio, etc reported the exhibition including 45 sketches of Guo's life in France. As Distinguished Professor of Central Academy of Fine Arts and a member of China Artists Association, Professor Guo, a superb representative of expressionist oil painters in China since the 1980s, created a characteristic and brand new schema of China's expressionist oil paintings by combining the expressionism and the idea of western oil paintings with the spirit of freehand brushwork in Chinese painting and the bone method of calligraphy.
