On November 14th, NENU's Siping Alumni Association was established. NENU's party committee secretary Sheng Lianxi, Vice President Su Zhongmin, the mayor of Siping and Alumni Shi Guoxiang, JLNU's party committee secretary Zhang Bo and its vice president Zu Guohua as well as more than 300 alumni attended the meeting.
On the meeting, the name list of SAA's members was announced. Sheng Lianxi delivered a speech during the after-meeting dinner, saying that "recent years have seen the enhancement of NENU's strength and the extension of its social influence, which is indispensable from the attention of and support by the vast majority of alumni. It is hoped that our alumni could attach as much attention as before to NENU, contributing to its construction and development with affirmative suggestions."
