Important Results in the Research Field of Multi-Acid Photocatalytic Achieved by Teachers and Students of NENU

Recently, Professor Liu Shuxia and his doctoral candidate Li Shujun, who are from Multi-Acids Science Key Laboratory of Ministry of Education, cooperated with scholars of Photocatalytic Research Center of National Institute for Materials Science of Japan. They made great progress in multi-acid photocatalytic decomposition of hydrogen production.

Through the study, they synthetized a series of Ta / W mixed-acid. Since the TA was introduced into the structure of the Tungstoferrate, it raised the conduction band level(LUMO level),thereby the activity of Photocatalytic hydrogen had been greatly enhanced. Nowadays, the related results had been published in well-known international journals the American Chemical Society (J. Am Chem Soc, 2012, 134, 19716-19721 IF = 9.907), and the reviewers spoke highly of it. This work has remarkable inspiration for design and synthesis of multi-acid photocatalytic materials. Meanwhile, the results had also been applied for a national invention patent.
