Recently, Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education released the 2012 result of the third round national discipline assessment. Compared with the results of 2009, the national ranking of 95% of the assessed disciplines of NENU rose in different degree. Among NENU's 30 first level disciplines being assessed, 4 of them rank the top 5 and the world history ranks the second.
