On April 1st, the Class with about 40 members for advanced studies on ecological civilization from the Party School of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee took a study tour in NENU. The secretary of Party Committee, Sheng Lianxi, and deputy party secretary, Ma Shang, as well as Fu Qiang, the standing committee of the communist party and Minister of Organization Department, received all the members.
During the tour, Sheng Lianxi made a report titled “Ecological Task and Civilization Construction.” In the report, Sheng Lianxi exchanged his views with all the members on the role of ecology in sustainable development and the maintenance of ecological environment and the construction of ecological civilization in Jilin Province. After the report, the class had an on-the-spot investigation in National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Basic Biology, the Herbarium of College of Life Science, Key Laboratory of Vegetation Ecology of Education Ministry and key Laboratory of Wetland Ecology and Vegetation Restoration on the State Environmental Protection. During the field trip, they listened to the briefing. In addition, the class visited the library and Museum of Natural History on the main campus.
