The second game of 2012-2013 361⁰ CUBSL Finals was held on April 7th. The men's basketball team of NENU obtained the Grand Championship with a two-match winning streak, beating that of Northeastern University by 90: 78 in a home game. NENU once again won a Grand Championship since the third CUBSL held in 2007.
NENU president Liu Yichun made a speech at the opening ceremony before the Finals began, affirming the importance of basketball in constructing campus culture and in enhancing exchanges among universities.
Among the 14 matches in 2012-2013 CUBSL regular seasons, the men's basketball team of NENU achieved a 12-2 result and entered into playoffs by ranking first in the North District. The six matches in playoffs witnessed the men's basketball team’s complete victory and its eventual winning of the Grand Championship in a home game.
