Recently, Professor Li Haipeng, chief librarian of Hong Kong Baptist University, was invited as a chair professor of “Dongshi Scholar”. During his visit to NENU, he gave a series of reports to teachers and students from School of Computer Science and Information Technology, expounding on the openness and diversity of the contemporary library management at multiple levels. Entrusted by the Department of LIS at Green Baltic Campus of the University of North Carolina in the United States, Professor Li Haipeng also exchanged opinions with the School of Computer Science and Information Technology on cooperation issues.
Over the years, Professor Li Haipeng has been committed to digital library development and library management. In 2012, he obtained the American Library Association International Library Innovation Project Award through the project of “Digitization of Traditional Chinese Medicine”.
