Recently, the third National Normal Universities Students Chemical Experiment Tournament, hosted by the teaching group of Chemistry Committee of Education Department and undertaken by Henan Normal University, Gan Fenyuan from the Faculty of Chemistry was awarded with the First Prize, Cui Xiaobo with the Second Prize and Ren Xinmin with the Third Prize. Nenu student also achieved good results in the previous two terms.
The tournament is based on writing exam and experiment skills. Students from 37 universities including Beijing Normal University and East China Normal University, participated in the tournament. Each university recommended participants in a proportion of the 30% of the total in relative majors. The committee randomly selected three contestants. In addition, at the seminar of Normal University Chemistry Laboratory Teaching and Construction, Professor Zhang Jingping gave a report titled "Primary Exploration of Chemistry Teaching Reform in the New Situation" which attached great attention and favorable comments.
