From September 17th to 20th, upon the invitation of President Liu Yichun, Vice President of Shimane-ken Prefectural University Iida Yasumi, its director in Northeast Asia Research Center Professor Li Xiaodong and other staff (nine in total)came to NENU to attend the academic meeting titled "The Individual Cases and Methods in Northeast Asia Research" held by the East Asia history research team.
During the meeting, Liu Yichun met the guests and introduced the constitution and the research status of the institute. He hoped that the two universities would take this opportunity to promote and expand communication and cooperation in the fields of East Asia history and Japanese history. The President Assistant Han Dongyu and Professor Li Xiaodong, respectively representing the two parties, signed the cooperation contract, reaching an agreement in aspects of academic communication, discipline construction, and talent cultivation. At the seminar, relevant academic reports were given, discussing the East Asia History individual cases and other theoretical issues from perspectives of Japanese history, the history of international relations, the history of Ming and Qing Dynasties and the history of Northeast China.
