Recently, Faculty of Chemistry together with College of Computer Science and Information Technology sponsored an international conference of computational simulation method and application. The conference witnessed over 80 specialists and scholars of well-known colleges and research institutions from America, Japan, Germany, Britain, Singapore and Hong Kong.
The theme was development and application of theoretical calculation simulation method. Participants through integrating theories of computer technology, chemistry, biology, physics and mathematics, discussed its development direction and issues on promoting its application.
Su Zhongmin, Vice President of NENU and Chairman of the Conference introduced scientific research of NENU and the progress of related research group in his speech. He hoped that participants would take this conference as an opportunity to strengthen their communication and cooperation with NENU. As vice chairmen of the conference, Professor Zhang Jingping from Faculty of Chemistry and Professor Hu Lihong from College of Computer Science and Information Technology respectively presided over related meetings. Professor Ma Zhiqiang from College of Computer Science and Information Technology delivered an important speech.
During the conference, participants visited Faculty of Chemistry and College of Computer Science and Information Technology and had a panel discussion with teachers. This conference enhanced the world’s understanding on the disciplinary development of NENU, boosted its academic reputation and promoted international exchanges in related disciplines.
