On September 29, Professor Zhou Yifa from School of Life Science was invited to attend National Day Reception held by General Office of CPPCC, United Front Work Department, Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, Hong Kong and Macao Office of the State Council and Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council. Yu Zhengsheng, Member of Standing Committee of CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and President of CPPCC attended the reception and together with over 2800 overseas Chinese representatives from various circles celebrated the 64th anniversary of the founding of the PRC. Professor Zhou Yifa was invited because his work experiences at home and abroad especially his scientific research and education achievement in NENU attracted Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, which is definitely a confirmation of the achievements of NENU returnees in education and research.
