In "the 2013 Chopin Memorial Prize" Hong Kong- International Piano Open Competition, the undergraduate of grade 2011 Zou Yingnan, and Cui Shengdan of grade 2012 were awarded with the First Prize in Senior Group of Chinese Works. Undergraduate of grade 2009 Yang Xiao and undergraduate of grade 2012 Liu Yuxin ranked the second in the Youth Group, and Dai Bing(undergraduate of grade 2012) won the honorable prize.
"The Chopin Memorial Prize" Hong Kong- International Piano Open Competition is an internationally renowned piano playing competition held by Hong Kong International Musician Association. In this competition, more than 600 contestants home and abroad participated in the final, with 11 NENU students entering into the final.
Besides, in the Northeast Region Final of the 77th Steinway Internationeal Adolescence Piano Competition, undergraduate of grade 2012 Chen Xin from School of Music was awarded with the second prize in the C Professional Group, and the instructor Yang Zhen with Excellent Teacher Prize.
