Recently, library of NENU was awarded "2012 Advanced Unit of Nationwide Reading Movement", and 24 nationwide libraries were honored.
The award of "Advanced Unit of Nationwide Reading Movement" was set up by CSLS in 2005. The selection was held once a year so as to commend those library clubs and representatives that had contributed a lot or impacted lager social influences in nationwide reading activities. Library of NENU has all along attached great importance on promoting reading ability and building a progress-oriented campus. According to the overall arrangement of University Cultural Construction, our university together with Party Committee Propaganda Department, Students Affairs Department and School League Committee, carried out a series of activities for promoting reading and campus reading cultural construction on World Reading Day, Youth Day, National Day, and New Year’s Day in 2012. With "Charming is the Library, books are seen everywhere in the university" as the theme, these activities were welcomed by teachers and readers.
