Recently, associate professor Bi Xihe from the School of Chemistry, NENU won the 2014 “Thieme Chemistry Journal Award”. The award, appraised and elected by the editorial board of the German chemistry magazine Thieme, is established to reward outstanding young organic chemists, with around 40 people globally obtaining this honor every year.
The research area of associate professor Bi Xihe mainly covers organic synthesis methodology. Since 2009, he has received subsidies of several funds, including three national natural science funds. In 2013, he was elected in the “New Century Excellent Talents Support Plan”, Ministry of Education, as well as the “Young and Middle-aged Leading Science and Technology Innovation Talents Plan” of Jilin Province. As a corresponding author, he has published more than 20 academic papers in world-known journals of chemistry, among which the impact factor of 15 theses is above 6.0.
