Recently, hosted by Peoples Network and guided by School and College Department, League Central as well as Administrative Department, People’s Daily , the 2013 National League Central College Students’ Social Practice Contest entitled with “Young People• Chinese Dream” came to a close. “Mingrixiang” support education team from the School of Mathematics and Statistics, NENU, won the title of “Outstanding Team” and Li Yue, graduate student of grade 2011, won the honorary title of “Star of Social Practice”. The selection lasted for more than 3 months and over 400 student teams nationwide took part in it.
“Mingrixiang” support education team was also honored the “The National Top 10 Public Benefit Team” in the activity of national public benefit for college students earlier. Since 2008, “Mingrixiang” support education team has been organizing volunteers majoring in education to assist the poverty-stricken and remote areas in Sichuan and Yunnan Province in the development of education for six consecutive years and has been encouraging the team members to integrate education theory with practice via ways of course tutorship and education research. Over 1700 students in 11 country schools have benefited from the summer camp held by the support education team.
