Recently, the project ”Research into Nanometer Materials for Public Safety and Diagnostic Techniques”, which was presided by Professor Su Zhongmin from the School of Chemistry, NENU, was subsidized by the national “863” plan project.
As a part of the “863” plan in the field of new materials and technologies, the total expenditure for the project reaches 57 million RMB and is composed of five research groups. The research led by Professor Su Zhongmin mainly studies the controllable preparation of multi-functional nanometer material and its application in public safety and diagnostic techniques for serious diseases. Presided by NENU and jointly accomplished by 12 other universities and research institutions like Tsinghua University, the research lasts from December 2013 to December 2015 with the largest amount of fund, which is 12.34 million RMB. The successful approval of the research project marks the significant progress of NENU in organizing major scientific projects. It also indicates NENU’S progress in scientific research team building as well as the ability of undertaking national major scientific research projects.
