On December 20th to 31st, NENU held the “Cultural Exchange Camp of 2013 Hong Kong------Mainland University Students”, “Experience Camp of Campus Sports Culture Construction of 2013 Hong Kong------Mainland University Students” and “2013 Hong Kong Future Educators Initiation------Education Trainee Camp in Northeast China”.
Altogether 181 teachers and students from Hong Kong University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Institute of Education and NENU, took part in the activities. These activities focused on three themes, namely, “Cultural Exchange------Mutual Development of Hong Kong and Mainland Students”, “Life, Health and Sports------Sports Development and Physique Improvement of University Students”, and “Future of Educational Development------Trainee Camp of Teachers”. NENU held various activities, such as seminars on the regional culture of northeast China, lectures on the current situation of Chinese primary and secondary education, class view and inspection tours in urban middle schools and rural primary schools, academic exchanges and friendship tournaments. The series of activities provided a platform for the exchanges and communication between Hong Kong and mainland university students, develop and strengthen their friendship and promote the understanding of Hong Kong university students about the customs and traditions in northeast China.
