Recently, organized by science and technology department, ministry of education, led by NENU and jointly declared by six units such as Beijing Normal University, Central China Normal University, the national science technology support plan project entitled “Primary and Secondary School Teacher Training Service Support Technology Research and Application Demonstration”, was officially approved by the science and technology department. This marked the first time for NENU to act as the leading unit to declare such a project. Led by Professor Shi Ningzhong from the School of Mathematics and Statistics, the project will be carried out from January 2014 to December 2016. Its funding totals 45.87 million RMB, among which 15.87 million is allocated by the national funding.
Based on national requirements of constructing teaching body and in the light of satisfying the practical needs of innovating teacher training pattern on a large scale at high level, the project aims to develop research in primary and secondary teacher training service pattern and tackle problems in key technologies, to establish primary and secondary teacher training service system and training course resource, to conduct application demonstration of teachers’ information and technology capacity, regional interaction research and training credits interaction, so as to provide support for the national work of launching large-scale, high-quality teacher training.
