On January 21, the 2014 Jilin winter camp for All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots was launched in NENU. Deputy Party Secretary Wang Yan and the staff in charge of United Front Work Department received the visitors. More than 90 students and teachers from universities of Taiwan and NENU participated in the activity.
During the visit, Professor Qu Xiaofan gave the lecture titled "Changbai Mountain- Songhua River History and Culture" in which he introduced the general situation and history of Changbai Mountain and Songhua River. Afterwards, Taiwan and mainland university students had group discussions on their respective campus life and local customs and practices. Lastly, all students visited NENU library.
