NENU Students Win Two Gold Medals at the 2014 Winter Olympics

On February 13, in the female 500-meter short-track speeding skating at the Sochi Winter Olympics, NENU's Grade-2010 postgraduate Li Jianrou from School of Physical Education defeated her strong rivals and won the first gold medal for China. In the female 1000-meter speeding skating, Grade-2013 postgraduate Zhang Hong from the same school also won a gold medal with the result of 1 minute 14 seconds and 20 millisecond,which was China's first gold medal in this game.


In his talk with President Xi Jinping before the opening of the Winter Olympics, Liu Zhongqing, coach of the national skiing team and aerial-skillskier,introduced the current conditions of China’s delegation. Liu was also a postgraduate of NENU in 2008.
