Recently, the Research and Assessment Center of Chinese Social Sciences has announced the official content of CSSCI(2014-2015) resource journals. The Journal of Ancient Civilizations, was included among the list of 26 CSSCI history journals. It is in the charge of NENU, co-hosted by IHAC, Asian Institute of Culture, Center for History and World Civilization, NENU Publishing Company.
The Journal of Ancient Civilizations, as an academic history quarterly in Chinese language, was initiated in 2007, based on the English version The Journal of Ancient Civilizations which was an annual launched by historians Lin Zhichun and his peers. This journal sticks to presenting the latest researching results of ancient civilization, combining investigation with theoretical analysis, encouraging inter-discipline researches, and holding a plain and earnest writing style. The major sections have respectively gathered high-level authors, making itself an academic column with extensive influence.
