On March 17th, Qu Jiuhui, the academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and researcher of Chinese Academy of Sciences Eco-environment Center, at the invitation of School of Environment, came to NENU and gave the report "Understanding on the Innovation of Environmental Technology".
In the report, Qu Jiuhui initially introduced how to think of the commonality and specificity of scientific research, and focused on how to irrationally understand and deal with more complicated environmental challenges. He thought that the understanding of natural evolution rule was the basis of environment scientific research, and the pollution substance was the target of scientific research. He further proposed that deepening research on complex system was the important orientation, that acquiring a scientific understanding of substance from phenomenon was the current core issue, and that solving problems is the fundamental drive force of environmental scientific innovation. He also attached importance to the introduction of the novel viewpoints such as "establishing conceptual sewage disposal plants that face the future". After the report, Professor Qu Jiuhui had a heated and full discussion with students and teachers from both NENU and other universities.
