On Mar. 21 the doctor of Egyptology in Swansea University and the director of Archaeological Society of Egypt Chris Norton gave an academic lecture named "the History, Development and Duties of the Archaeological Society of Egypt" for the teachers and students in the Center for History of World Civilizations through video connection. In the lecture, Chris Norton started from the archaeological excavation of famous English archaeologists Flinders Petrie and Edward Carter in Egypt, took the tombs of Pharaoh, Hatshepsut and Tutankhamen, in Ancient Egypt as examples, and explained the duties of archaeologists and the contributions they made to the protection of culturall relics. Chris Norton also introduced the history, development and duties of the Archaeological Society of Egypt.
This is the first lecture of the Center for History of World Civilizations by remote video. In order to strengthen the academic exchange between scholars and famous foreign universities, the Center for History of World Civilizations decides to communicate with 15 foreign Egyptologists on academic achievements in interactional front through video connection. The lecture will be made once a week and presided over by the foreign teacher Doctor King Rede Ekey.
