On April 3rd, NENU's Cold War and Modern International Relations Research Center was officially set up in School of Political Science and Law. NENU President Liu Yichun, Director Shen Zhihua ( ECNU's lifetime professor in Department of History and Cold War International History Research Center) and staff concerned attended the ceremony.
Cold War and Modern International Relations Research Center is an academic institute with Cold War history as its subject. It will fully exploit the current advantages in discipline and talent resources, collecting and reorganizing local files, strengthening the academic exchange and cooperation between China and other countries.
On the ceremony, President Li Yichun issued the letter of appointment to Shen Zhihua as NENU's visiting professor and gave a speech. President Liu said that Director Shen Zhihua is the expert in China-Soviet relation history, China-Korea relation history and is the domestic leading scholar in Cold War history. The appointment is a significant measure to reinforce the academic exchange. It is expected that the two can cooperate closely and develop together. After the ceremony, Shen Zhihua and Professor Han Gang from ECNU gave lectures respectively titled with "the Historical Roots of China's and Korea's Communist Party" and "the Collection and Sorting of Local Files", and they also answered the questions from teachers and students.
