The famous CCTV host Bai Yansong attended “Carrying forward Lofty Character---NENU Forum Of Cultural Celebrities” of Series Lectures on Wenyun Dongshi at the invitation of Publicity Department of the Party Committee and School of Media Science and gave a speech entitled “Reflection on New Media”, sharing his understanding and experience about new media with the teachers and students.
Bai Yansong discussed with the teachers and students about many professional problems in journalism and gave deep and original analysis. In the interactive session students were deeply impressed by Bai’s quick thinking, swift response and witty reply. The students told the journalists that Bai’s report inspired them to look at the press and the development of new media from a new perspective.
After the report, accompanied by Wang Yan, leader of Publicity Department of the Party Committee and leaders of School of Media Science, Bai Yansong visited the School of Media Science and inscribed four Chinese characters “Tong Hang Tong Xing” (which means advancing with peers) for the School.
