On April 19th, the opening ceremony of China-Russia Youth Friendly Exchanges Year and the joint performance by Chinese and Russian university students was held in the library of Changchun University. Students from the School of Music, NENU performed the new ensemble of traditional folk instruments “Jingyun (Rhythm of Beijing Opera)”. Vice president Feng Jiang attended the opening ceremony on behalf of NENU.
Since the establishment of National Year, Language Year and Tourism Year between China and Russia, the friendly exchanges year for Chinese and Russian youths is another important activity in the field of people-to-people and cultural exchanges between the two countries. It aims to promote bilateral cooperation for youths in the fields of education, culture, hygiene, physical education, tourism, media, movies and archive. More than 300 activities will be held in the friendly exchanges year. And NENU will undertake two projects of “Chinese Martial Arts Education Workshop for Russian Youths” and ” Forum for Russian Young Scholars”.
