Recently, the 2014 International Landscape Planning and Design Meeting Changchun Summit and the Fourth Idea-King Competition in Northeast Division Launching Ceremony was held in NENU. It is co-sponsored by ILIA, BEFU education foundation，China Construction News, and co-organized by School of Arts, NENU, College of Humanities and Sciences of NENU. Tang Xueshan, ILIA honorary Chairman and former Deputy Minister of Department of Construction Song Chunhua, ILIA Chairman, landscape expert in Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development, and Yang Xiaohui, NENU’s Party Committee Secretary attended the ceremony as well as representatives in this field from domestic universities and other cities.
The IDEA-KING Award, as the most authoritative academic platform for exchange, adapted to landscape design development’s structural transformation with regard to "discipline notions, supporting majors, talent education, practice tendency", aiming to provide the best platform for displaying self-advantages and brand reputation for designers, organizations, real estate businessmen, material suppliers and university teachers and students. To reinforce the exchange between universities, the hosting organizations added the itinerant exhibition of the awarded works in the third term in the hall of School of Arts and in the College of H&S of NENU.
