Delegation from NENU Achieves Good Results in 2014 China Debate Open

Published:May 12, 2014 Review:

Recently, under the instruction of Russ Taylor, the foreign language teacher and Doctor Liu Honggang, the delegation composed of Huang Kangli and Pan Jialiang, both of whom are senior students from the School of Foreign Languages, ranked the fifth in the 2014 China Debate Open. This is the best result NENU has ever achieved in this contest and Huang Kangli also won the Best Debater Award.

Over 100 delegation teams participated in the contest. All participants were selected among the championship of regional tournaments nationwide, winners of various college competitions and outstanding debaters from America and other English-speaking countries. Pan Jialing and Huang Kangli won the first prize in the regional tournament and the grand championship in northeast district. They will attend the China Debate Masters to be held in Beijing this July at invitation.
