On May 14th, Wang Yan――deputy secretary of party committee of NENU, gave his first report in “Grand Vision • Common Growth” Forum held by the School of National Education. The report entitled “Our Common Xinjiang――Xinjiang Ethnic Relations and China Western Development” attracted over 300 people, including teachers and students from the School of National Education, deputy secretaries from other Schools and related working staff.
At the beginning of the report, Wang Yan affectionately retrospected his work and study life as a cadre in support of Xinjiang and expressed his enthusiastic love for it. Later he expounded the theme of “Xinjiang Ethnic Relations and China Western Development” from four dimensions ,i.e., “Cheerful and Harmonious Xinjiang”、“Prosperous and Developing Xinjiang”、“Worrying Xinjiang” and “Hopeful Xinjiang”. In the end, he stressed that young people were the future and hopes of ethnic unity, national stability and social development and extended his best wishes to young people to make great contributions to motherland.
Established by the School of National Education, “Grand Vision • Common Growth” forum is intended to expand students’ theoretical perspective, improve their ideological quality and promote their comprehensive development. The forum will occasionally invite school leaders and experts and scholars inside and outside of NENU to give guidance lectures.
