Recently in the 10th Shakespeare's Drama Competition of Chinese University Students the representative team of NENU with undergraduates Zhang Pengbo (grade 2011), Xiong Lidi (grade 2012) and Jia Yumeng(grade 2012) from School of Foreign Languages as the main actors and actresses, and Dr. Nie Aiping as the director received unanimous commendations from the international panel of judges, and won the Group Award “ Best Costume Design Award”. So far NENU has attended the contest for five times and got through to the finals for four times. It is the first time that representative team of NENU has won group award.
Shakespeare Drama Performing Contest among China's Universities" is an art activity for universities students nationwide. It is judged and assessed by international experts. The initial contest is assessed anonymously, which is highly academic and authoritative. Twelve universities from the mainland, HK, Macao, and Taiwan entered the final. There are three group awards and four individual awards.
