From April on, Professor Li Xiaodong, Doctor Zhang Like, both of whom are from the research center of world civilization, and Professor Wang Dezhong from the School of History and Culture, NENU, have been successively invited to the program “Talking about Historical Ups and Downs” in Changchun TV station. The program is first broadcast at 21:00-22:00 on Saturday and rebroadcast at 21:00-22:00 on Sunday. Up to now, altogether 12 issues have been recorded and broadcast and they have received positive feedbacks from the society. The column on the topic of history in Changchun TV station consists of three series, the emperors, the generals and the imperial harem. Referring to the analysis and interpretation of relevant historicists and scholars, the program intends to introduce the critical events that happened to prominent historical figures.
The research center of world civilization in NENU is a key research base of humanistic and social sciences, the ministry of education. Through modern media, the scholars of the center integrated academic research fruits with the popularization of history knowledge and this integration fully realized the functions of philosophical and social sciences in knowing the world, inheriting the civilization and serving the society.
