From June 18th to 20th, the office of alumni and the Institute of Information Technology jointly held the first period of “4S Assembly for Alumni”, i.e., the seminar of basic Education and management. 30 alumni who are directors of education bureau and presidents of middle schools in different places attended the course. The seminar designed its teaching program, code of conduct and criteria of assessment, as well as the special reports, the second classroom, the quality assessment, and group discussion in view of the requirements of alumni. All alumni successfully graduated after strict appraisal and examination.
During the training, president of NENU, Liu Yichun met with the entire class. He remarked that alumni are precious values for NENU and have won many honors for alma mater. The university established the platform for research and studies in the hope that guided by the concepts of “teaching with no class distinction and discrimination, Teaching in line with Students’ Aptitude, Learning as a life-long enterprise and General Excellence”, the alumni could make more contributions to the undertakings of basic education in China.
“4S Assembly for Alumni” is designed by the alumni office to make better use of resources at all sides, to provide service at different levels, and to better promote the development of alumni. “4S”means ‘study’, ‘supply’, ‘survey’ and ‘service’. It is a platform aiming at providing advanced thinking, promoting teaching ideals, reflecting feedbacks and pace up the development. The first period of “4S Assembly for Alumni” has received positive feedbacks among alumni. To satisfy their needs, NENU will open various platforms in other industries and fields so as to provide them intellectual support and all-round service.
