On June 21st, co-hosted by NENU and China Japanese Education Association, and jointly co-organized by Japanese Branch, Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee, the Ministry of Education and Foreign Languages Association in Jilin Province, “China and Japan: Cultural Exchanges and Mutual Understanding”――the 2014 Annual Meeting of China Japanese Education Association, i.e., the International Symposium was held. Representatives from different departments and organizations attended the opening ceremony. In addition, about 300 scholars in the field of Japan study from home and abroad have attended the meeting.
With the theme of “Cultural Exchanges and Mutual Understanding”, the annual meeting aimed at promoting the breaking of national boundaries, integrating literature with history, and enhancing problem orientation in Japan study. During the symposium, high-level forum of Japan study, grouping discussion and discussions on special topics, forums of relevant journals and authors, meeting of exchange for new generation of Japanese study have been held.
