Recently, results of the 2014 annual national social science fund are issued. 32 projects of NENU are approved with a total fund of 7.3 million RMB, wherein six are key projects, 15 are general projects and 11 are youth projects. Both the number of projects being approved and the amount of fund rank NO.10 among national colleges and universities. This is the best result NENU has ever achieved in the projects of national social science fund. It also makes a good start for achieving the scientific research goal of “Revitalizing and Promoting Liberal Arts”, which is put forward at the 14th congress party of NENU.
According to the statistics released by the national social science office, altogether 28,186 valid declarations have been accepted in 2014. After going through procedures of qualification examination, anonymous communication intern, review meeting and online public announcement, etc, 3,818 annual projects and youth projects have been approved, 8 projects less than that of last year. The average rate of approval is 13.6%, wherein 309 are key projects with a fund of 350,000RMB for each project, 2,466 are general projects and 1,044 are youth projects, both of which are granted 200,000RMB for each project.
