Recently, the third National College GIS Application Skill Contest came to a successful end. 39 colleges and 43 teams from all over the country participated in the contest. The team instructed by Zhao Jianjun and composed of Gao Xiaoyu, Chang Shuai and Zhang Jingjun won second prize, and Wang Jianjun was awarded the honorary title of “Excellent Guide Teacher”.
This is the first time for NENU to participate in the national GIS application contest. Hosted by Education and Science Popularization Work Committee of China's Geographic Information Industry Association, and Geography Teaching Steering Committee of Ministry of Education, the contest focuses on students’ mastery and application in remote sensing image processing, geographical information extraction and analysis and design and development of GIS application system.
