On September 24th, the president of Tin Ka Ping Foundation Mr. Tian Qingxian visited NENU. The secretary of the Party committee of NENU Yang Xiaohui, Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs and the directors of Faculty of Education held talks with the visitors.
In the talks, Yang Xiaohui introduced the development of NENU in recent years, expressed thanks for the support in education given by Tin Ka Ping Foundation, and exchanged views with Tian Qingxian on elementary education. Tian Qingxian described the operation and development of Tin Ka Ping Foundation in recent years, and said it would continue to support the development and construction of NENU.
Tin Ka Ping Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization incorporated in 1982 in Hong Kong by Dr. Tian Jiabing. The sources of all fundings come from Dr. Tian Jiabing and his family's donation. The Foundation is strictly managed by the Board, with Dr. Tian Jiabing as honorary chairman, his eldest son Tian Qingxian as President of the Foundation. The Foundation donated public welfare, with particular emphasis on education. In 1996, Tin Ka Ping donated 8 million Yuan to NENU for the construction of Tin Ka Ping Education College.
