On October 27th, the curator of the library of Ohio University Scott Seaman visited NENU. Feng Jiang, the vice-president of NENU, met with the visitors.
After that, a cooperation meeting between the library of NENU and the library of Ohio University was held. At the meeting, the contents and ways of cooperation in the next five years were discussed thoroughly. Consensuses were reached in personnel training, resources sharing and co-constructing, documents transmitting, academic researching and so on. At last, two strategic cooperation agreements were signed, namely, Agreement of Exchange Program on Management and Study of Chinese Libraries and Agreement for Inter-Library Exchange between the Library Of NENU and the Library of Ohio University.
Scott Seaman gave a lecture entitled as “EBook Trends in an ARL Library: the Future was Three Years Ago” on the right day. More than 120 people from the library of NENU and other university libraries in Jilin Province attended the lecture. After the lectures, Scott Seaman and other attendees discussed and communicated with each other on some relevant topics.
