Recently, the library of NENU has been commended the 2013-2014 "Advanced Units of Data Collection Award" and the "Outstanding Contribution Award of Russian Database Construction" by China Academic Library System (CALIS) Union Catalog.
China Academic Library and Information System (CALIS) is one of the three public service systems in higher education approved by the State Council, which is a literature information resource platform constructed and shared by universities. Online Union Catalog is one of the first co-constructed programs. As an early member of CALIS Union Catalog Project, the library of NENU has always been actively participated in union catalog construction of Chinese and foreign language books. Recently, the CALIS Online Cooperative Cataloging Center collected and analyzed the statistical indicators of 2013-2014 annual CALIS union catalog work, and experts were organized to evaluate the quality of the data. Among more than 500 national university libraries participated in union catalog project, the collection of data loading of NENU library ranked No.46, and the Russian bibliographic data load of this school ranked the first.
