Recently, Department of Education of Jilin Province has released the name list of the 2014 new project construction unit of provincial key research base for humanities and social sciences. Seven research centers in NENU were selected as key research bases for humanities and social sciences in provincial project construction, namely, Research Center for Ideological and Political Education, Research Center for East Asian Civilizations, Collaborative Innovation Center for Teacher Education, Research Center for Teaching Method Reform of Ideological and Political Theory Course, Research Center for China's Basic Foreign Language Education, Research Center for Modernization of China’s Local Governance, and Research Center for Aesthetic Education in China’s Schools.
