On April 24, 2015, the Ministry of Education of the
People's Republic of China
issued "Letter of Approval for
Establishing Newark College of Rutgers University in NENU by the Ministry of
Education", which formally approved the establishment of Newark
College of Rutgers University in NENU. The document stated that “Newark College
of Rutgers University in NENU is a beneficiall attempt for the Sino-US cooperation
in the exploration of international talents training model."
Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, a comprehensive
research university in New Jersey,
is the nation’s eighth oldest
institution of higher education―one of only nine colonial colleges established
before the American Revolution. Rutgers joined the league top research universities
in North America in 1989, and ranked No.32 in the World University Rankings
released by the World University Ranking Center in September 2014.The logistics
management (supply chain management) ranks No.12, Master of financial
engineering ranks No.12 and public utilities management major (Public and
Nonprofit Management) ranks No.10 in the US.
NENU will cooperate with Rutgers, making great efforts to construct
a high-level and exemplary educational organization in Sino-foreign
cooperation. Newark College of
Rutgers University will improve the development of connotations of NENU and
promote NENU in advancing toward the construction goal of a world-class normal
university.
