Recently the
project "Construction of the Competency Standards of Librarians in Chinese
University disciplines" applied by the research team of the library of
NENU won the "Emerald Library and Information Science Research Fund
Award" of the year 2013.
"Emerald
Library and Information Science Research Fund Award” was founded in 2008 by
world-renowned Publishing Group of management, Emerald, and it is a high-level
academic award in the field of library and information science. The research
programs are reviewed by internationally renowned experts, and only one winner
is selected annually in China. Over the years the winners were research teams
and well-known experts in library and information science of 985 project
universities. After three rounds of evaluation, peer review experts assessed
and decided that the team led by librarian Xie Ya’nan of NENU won the award.
