The 4th national vocal music competition for music education majors in universities, hosted by Chinese Education Society, and undertaken by the music education branch of Chinese Education Society and Guizhou Normal University, came to an end on 30th September. 11 participators from the School of Music in NENU were selected and sent to the competition and won 10 awards in different groups. All of the 3 participants from bel canto undergraduate group won the first prize, and Shang Chunlai, the undergraduate from Grade 2012 ranked second in this group. Chen Yang, a teacher from the Department of Vocal Music, won the second prize in the paper evaluation contest for teachers with the first prize in vacancy.
