Recently, the 10th Global Confucius Institute Conference was held in Shanghai World Expo Center. During the conference, the Confucius Institute, founded by NENU and University of Valencia, was awarded the title of "Model Confucius Institute" by the Office of NOCFL.
NENU has founded five Confucius Institutes. They are Confucius Institute at Dong-A University in South Korea in 2006, University of Valencia in Spain in 2007, University of Alaska Anchorage in the United States in 2009, Seneca College in Canada in 2011, and the Confucius Institute which was upgraded in 2014 from the Confucius Classroom in Mongolia State Pedagogical University.
