On August 25th, Dong Yongjun, a young teacher from NENU Physic School, participating in the Arctic Expedition, returned to motherland smoothly by taking the 7th International Arctic Expedition Vessel "Araon".
The expedition, successfully launched two sets of independent research and development facilities--Ice Base Towed Ocean Profiling Float, and completed the relative research work. The project is cooperatively assumed by Ocean University of China, NENU, and other institutions. The "cross-sectional motion control" "data acquisition" "real-time and near real-time satellite data communications" "low power design under extreme conditions", and other core technology are completed by NENU. The Polar floating system can long-term continuously collect meteorological data and transmit the ice surface under the sea and oceanographic data, providing a powerful technical support for national scientific polar research.
The successful participation in Polar Research Expedition marks that Applied Physics Course of NENU opens up a new research direction in the field of marine monitoring technology.
