Undertaken by the Ideological and Political Education Research Center of NENU, the National Postdoc Forum on the Chinese Characteristics and International Comparison of Ideological and Political Education was successfully held from September 8th to 9th. 165 doctors, postdocs and scholars from 62 universities at home and abroad took part in the forum. Held by National Postdoc Regulatory Commission, China Postdoc Science Foundation and Office of Human Resources and Social Security of Jilin Province, the forum was oriented to persist and further develop the Chinese road of ideological and political education through international comparison.
Wang Mingzheng, deputy director of the Office of Professional and Technical Personnel of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Wang Fang, deputy director of the Postdoc Division, Li Baojun, deputy director of the Office of Human Resources and Social Security of Jilin Province, Professor Yang Xiaohui, Secretary General of NENU's Party Committee, Professor Liu Yichun, President of NENU, Professor Ma Xiaoyan, vice President and deputy Secretary General of NENU’s Party Committee, Professor Guo Jianhua, vice President of NENU and the relevant leaders of our university attended the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Guo Jianhua. Wang Mingzheng delivered a speech. He stressed the significance of this event and believed that domestic and foreign scholars will provide theoretical and intellectual support for the development of ideological and political education in China by exchanging ideas under the theme of "strengthening morality and cultivating talents". Li Baojun said the forum fully embodied the trust and support of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China to Jilin Province. NENU's achievements in the comparative studies of ideological and political education would also be fully demonstrated. Liu Yichun pointed out that NENU's discipline of Marxism has fashioned a profound historical tradition and made great achievements. In recent years, it focused on significant issues of the Party and the state. Based on the state-level key discipline of ideological and political education, NENU has achieved outstanding achievements in applied and comparative studies of ideological and political education, taking the ideological and political education research center as a platform.
At the closing ceremony, Professor Gao Di made a conclusion, pointing out that the forum further clarified the theoretical connotation and practical significance of the Chinese characteristics and international comparison of ideological and political education. In addition, he called for the establishment of world vision at the height of 'community of human destiny' and the initiation of a Chinese scheme.
