Organized by the School of Media Science and the Office of Social Science Management, the "Northeast Asia Film Culture Research Center" held the inaugural ceremony and the first Northeast Asian Film Culture Research Forum. More than 10 scholars from the field of film research at home and abroad attended the ceremony and forum on September 16th.
Revolving around the issues such as development, communication and theoretical construction of films in relation to countries in Northeast Asia, Northeast Asia Film Culture Research Center tracks the latest development of films in Northeast Asia, discusses the coherence of film art, culture and theory and compares the results, paths and mutual influence of film theory construction in different countries.
Some scholars such as Professor Ying Xiong of Hokkaido University, Professor Li Tianduo of Kunshan University of Taiwan, Professor Zhuo Botang, the first Dean of the Film Academy of Hong Kong Baptist University, Professor Zhang Yan, Director of the Asian Film Research Center of Beijing Normal University, Dr. Zhao Hui of Communication University of China made keynote speeches respectively revolving around "the status, problems and methods of Northeast Asia films (TV)". After the conference,the scholars launched a profound discussion under the theme, forming a series of valuable academic points of view.
