NENU heldthe theme party of "Building the Chinese Dream and Composing the New Chapter of China Together" to celebrate the National Day and welcome the 19th National Congress of the CPC. The large-scale activity is to celebrate the 68th anniversary of the foundation of New China and greet the successful opening of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, as well as welcoming the freshmen. This event was jointly sponsored by the Publicity Office of the Party Committee, the Party Committee for the Administrative Organs of NENU, the Work Union, the Youth League Committee and the School of Music.Yang Xiaohui, Secretary General of the Party Committee, Liu Yichun, President of NENU, Wang Yan, deputy Secretary General of the Party Committee, Ma Xiaoyan, vice President and deputy Secretary General of the Party Committee and part of the leaders of departments (schools) as well as teachers and students watched the show.
On behalf of NENU, Wang Yan delivered a speech at the beginning of the party. He said this party, rooted in NENU's local culture, is one of the thematic activities to further promote the heritage of Chinese traditional culture, revolutionary culture and advanced socialist culture in our university. Through the form of literature and art, the party was intended topresent the grand progress of our country and the Communist Party and tried to unitethe power of NENU’s people and integrate the dream of the construction of the world first-class normal university into the great rejuvenation of the Chinesenation! Wang Yan also gave a warm welcome to the freshmen and encouraged them to become the successive power of NENU.
The performers included the teachers and students majored in artsas well as someamateur faculty of NENU and freshmen. Well-planned and carefully rehearsed, they offered a special evening to the audience with songs, dances, martial arts and playing of traditional instruments.
