On October 13th, the Seminar on Interdisciplinary Theory of Music and Dance was inaugurated in School of Music in NENU, sponsored by NENU and People's Music Press and undertook by the journals of "Music Research" and "Journal of Beijing Dance Academy". Professors and leaders attended the opening ceremony of the seminar and watched the performance.
The seminar lasted for 2 days, and a total of 256 teachers and students from 88 colleges and universities participated in it. It was a national music and dance of interdisciplinary exchange event, aiming to promote music and dance theory and related interdisciplinary research, integrate academic resources in multi-disciplines fields, and to discover and launch a number of young theoretical research scholars as well as to cultivate new disciplines. The conference was based on the interdisciplinary under the framework of music and dance, including the special report with the young scholar forum, both historical and classic, and interdisciplinary innovative exchange. Two special performances of carefully prepared dance and music, showing a number of classic repertoire and excellent works, aimed to strive deep communication through extensive existing multi-disciplinary experience, consolidate the basis of music and dance theory, explore the new perspective of music and dance theory, promote the development of disciplines, gather Chinese literary and artistic strength, carry forward the spirit of China and promote the prosperity of literature and art.
