Recently, NENU vice president Han Dongyu along with other delegates of NENU was invited to visit the St. Vitus College in Canada and held a Confucius Institute Council meeting. Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Zhang Jingping and Zhang Wendong, Dean of School of Media Science also joined the delegation.
At the Confucius Institute Council meeting, the two sides reviewed the achievements and problems of the Confucius Institute in the past year and made plans for the future development. The Confucius Institute has established the ideas for development in the economic and trade exchanges between China and Canada. The two sides agreed to take the Confucius Institute as a link to deepen and carry out exchanges and cooperation between the two universities in the areas of digital media, preschool education and staff exchanges.
During the visit, Zhang Jingping also had a deep communication with the principal of the University of Toronto School of Continuing Education on short-term English training, staff training and other projects.The visit further promoted the cooperation between our university and Canadian universities, so that the Confucius Institute has further played the role of bridge in the process of foreign cooperation and communication, and opened up the academic exchanges and scientific research and joint training for NENU’s teachers and students in new ways.
