Recently, the 11th China-Northeast Asia Expo hosted by the Party committee and government of Jilin Province, was held in Changchun. The Red Candle Volunteer Association of NENU was awarded the "Excellent Volunteer Team". Povincial Party Secretary Bayanqolu and Governor Liu Guozhong extended regards to NENU's volunteers during their inspections to the Expo.
During the Expo, NENU organized the largest number of volunteers of all the universities in Jilin Province, with 157 volunteers from 12 Schools participating in delegation translations and exhibition service. The service has been unanimously praised by Chinese and foreign guests. The Office of Foreign Affairs of Jilin Province sent letter of thanks especially for the excellent work of NENU's volunteers during the Expo.
